Hi!

Hello Peter,

I see that Simon would be your first upload to Debian, and that you are
the author of Simon (as stated in Sourceforge.net)
Yes it would be. In fact I have very, very little experience packaging software but I will do my best and hope that someone will help me get the package in shape once I have an initial draft.
This package may be of great interest for disabled people, so I forward
your Intent To Package to the mailing list
accessibilite AT april.org whose main topic is computer-aided accessibility.
Great, thanks.
I also sent a request to join the accessibility project in alioth after Samuel Thibault suggested to do so earlier today.
By the way, which is the relevant source tarball to use? I suppose that
it should be
http://sourceforge.net/projects/speech2text/files/simon/0.3-alpha-3/simon-0.3a3.tar.bz2/download
isn't it ?
No, I am currently preparing to release simon 0.3.0 (final). This is also the version I'd like to package.

The source tarball can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/speech2text/files/simon/0.3.0/simon-0.3.0.tar.bz2/download

Regards,
Peter
