En top post pour faire court:

Sur ma ubuntu 9.10 en amd64:
1- télécharger les fichier et le décompresser puis aller dans le
répertoire avec les .deb, là
$ sudo dpkg -i *
Cela va installer les deb, sauf celui qui est dans le sous-répertoire
"desktop-integration"

après cela on peut utiliser le logiciel si on lance directement
l'exécutable:
$ /opt/ooo4kids0.9/program/soffice
Pour avoir l'application dans le menu général d'Ubuntu, aller dans le
sous-répertoire "desktop-integration" et faire:
$ sudo dpkg -i OOo4Kids-debian-menus_0.9-07_all.deb

Après ça j'ai les lanceurs dans la rubrique bureautique du menu général
d'ubuntu.

Bref, c'est encore du bricolage, d'après le wiki, avec la version 1.0 on
aura un packaging plus propre...

Chez moi writer se lance sans crash, ni problème. Mais mon installation
a évolué et n'est pas la ubuntu standard 9.10...
